Activate the blog spam blocker
I’m hosting my friend’s blog and she’s asking me about how to get rid of those spam messages. I told her to sign up an account with wordpress.com so that she can get an API key so as for her to activate the akismet plug-in to block all of the spam messages. Hope she can have a key so that she can activate the spam blocker of her blog.

I can’t believe meebo dot com is now on its page rank 8. This is great! Now, what’s this site is all about? This is an instant aim, yahoo, MySpace, msn and meebo messengers anytime anywhere. There is nothing to download whatsoever since this is a web based thingy. Where I know this one? I’ve known this from my sister who is working as an editor years ago. The one that taught her to use this was one of the engineers in their company. Well, chatting when working is not allowed much more with downloading anything. So, in order to sneak sometime (not all the time), she (and everybody) needs to use this meebo dot com. Are YOU one who use this since your company prohibits downloading of any messengers? Is chatting allowed in your work? Hmm, it’s better to abide the rules and regulations of the company!
WordPress version 2.7.1 is now available
What makes me busy these days is to give free simple customized WP theme to my friends. But today, I’m wondering why there are some changes on the dashboard. It’s then I see that WORDPRESS version 2.7.1 is now available. GREAT! Hope this is better than the version 2.7. All I can say is that THANKS to all who made WORDPRESS available to all the people across the globe. You did great jobs guys!
Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 OS
My friend and I are talking about Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. I said to her that Windows 7 is a lot better with graphics but I’m into using it since I seldom use the computer which has Windows 7. With XP and Vista, I do love XP before since I used to have it with my desktops which I destroyed years ago. But my computers right now have Vista OS, thus, I learned to love with it and I’m used of it already. What I like most with Vista is the Microsoft Office Picture Manager since it will be easy for me to resize photos before posting it on my blogs. Also, the paint under Vista’s Accessories is so much different from the XP paint. I’m concerned with Microsoft Picture Manager and Paint since I love posting photos on my blogs. And before posting it, I need to resize it so that I will upload photos in a minimal size. And with Vista, it’s easy for me to resize photos. All I need to do is just right click the photo and open with Vista’s Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Usually I will choose 448px x 336px or 314px x 235px and after resizing, I can easily upload it with my blogs. For me, this is the quickest photo editing when it comes to posting photos with blogs. But of course, when I need some effects or text on my photos which I seldom do, I will used the online editor or my digital scrapping software.
Yahoo’s list of available internet browsers
I didn’t know that there lots of browsers available over the internet. All I know is just Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Flock, and the one that I used to love before–Netscape. But when I visited dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Software/internet/world_wide_web/browsers my eyes grew big since there are plenty of them. To name few of the available browsers that yahoo listed; these are Lynx, Camino, Konqueror, and more. Try to check Yahoo’s list for this when if you are a newbie like me and you will be amaze with the available internet browsers. It’s really fun!
Enabling comment on every post
Enabling comment on every post with WP blog is kind of convenient thing to have rather than having a chat box. And oh, this is just for me. I don’t know if this is your choice also. I formerly have lots of chat box in all of my sites early last year but I’m tired of it. So, I prefer to have a comment since I can moderate it and can somehow edit certain words or even erase it if I don’t like.
With WP blogs, all of the comments will just be placed in comment section on the dashboard. But when I approved certain commenter and then that person will send another comment, it will automatically show up on a particular post. So, with this, I need to check and visit my WP blogs almost every day.
I like this particular feature of WP platform. And oh, I can somehow close comment on other articles if I want to. This feature is very much different from the other blogging platform that I used to love and used to have last year.
